In eastern DRC, attack helicopters from the U-N mission joined with Congolese air units to bomb advanced positions of the rebel group M23. MONUSCO’s spokesman Manodje Mounoubai confirmed the strike in an interview with Cherubin Dorcil. He says the reality on the ground denies statements made by the M23 regarding its intention NOT to threaten the North-Kivu capital of Goma.
